Whenever i get my woma python out now she seems to arch her back when ever i move a bit fast, im guessing its a defensive posture but does anyone elses snakes do this?
And ive seen her a few times get into a double S position. Is that common?
Not worried at all just wondering.
Thanks Joel

yeah my female 3 year old woma does that she is very food orientated lol will try to eat most things and she will shape up if you move fast around her aswell lol

they do that when theyre preparing to strike, if accompany with tail wriggling then it's a feeding strike, if the snake is edging away from you then a defensive striking position. just don't stick your hand close.

Yeah she stops after about 10 seconds and then slithers away, she only a hatchling so it wont hurt even if she does bite me, she always S's up when shes upset but i didnt know they could double S
