b&y jungle carpet browning

Hey guys just wanted to see if any other jungle carpet python keepers have had similar experiences? the yellow of my juvenile jungle carpet seems to be getting quite noticeably browner before even seeing his first shed? could this be him going into shed or is it quite normal they just brown on the yellow before even hitting 1 year of age?

Hi Jezzy
They usualy get darker , even dirty looking during a shed cycle. They may also change color as they mature. Probably getting ready to shed i suspect. Cheers.

yeah cool cheers for that I knew they eventually get a bit dirtier looking, but thought they got a bit brighter until around 2 years?

however wasn't sure if it was happening real quick or coming into shed I thought he had cloudy eyes like 4-5 days ago and thought he would have shed by now may have just been wrong can't wait to see him after his first shed

Yeah, its cool watching them grow. If it's eyes were cloudy 4 or 5 days ago, it should shed in the next few days i would guess. Enjoy ?

yeah thanks man same as to you! hopefully get into breeding one day 2 even if he did get dirty still think they're the best snakes

yep he ended up shedding last night looks nice and clean again
