building my first enclosure

hey guys i have just scored a free tv cabnet of mum and i was wantingto do my first diy enclosure.was just wondering if you can use plastic perspecs instred of glass?

You can but I personally wouldn't recommend it. Perspex bends/flexes under its own weight if it is too big. It also scratches much more easily and goes cloudy after a while

I use it in all my enclosures,.. its fantastic make sure you get the cast sheet 5mm not the ****ty stuff at bunnings.. the cast sheet is fantastic, hardly any flexing and cheep as,..
search perspex on ebay there is a place that will cut to size no worries.. Acrylic782 or something they are called..
