Gday, Me and my Mrs. have just started getting an enclosure ready for her baby BHP. Its her snake so she setting the enclosure up how she likes and she's decided she wants black mulch for substrate.
Iv only used the bricks of coir peat or critters crumble, reptile bark things of that matter. All witch are brown, Bunning's sells black mulch and Karri peat mulch that is black.

Has anyone used Bunning's mulch in an enclosure? I remember reading about heat treating it by raising the core temp of the woodchips to 56 degrees c for 30 mins. Is this a proper precaution to take? Or is a f10 spray down a better idea? Is Bunning's mulch a no go? They all have the micro organisms warning.

Any help or info will be much appreciated cheers...
