Camouflage lizard?

I saw a lizard in the bush near Inverell (central NSW) today and I can't find an answer for what he was (and of course I had no camera). He was maybe 30cm long. Rough skin. A dappled grey/light brown head and legs. A yellow and dappled light brown back. A pink and dappled light brown tail. Does anyone have any ideas? He was quite curious about me and didn't immediately run away.

Yes! Thank you - was mildly excited I'd discovered a new species haha
