Hello everyone I have a question about my Childrens python. Got it last November as a yearling, has eaten every week up until 3 weeks ago refusing to eat and keeps pacing the front of the enclosure every night. Now I don’t know the gender but would it be possible to say it’s possibly male in search for a mate, is this the time of year they start to look for a mate? Does anyone else’s Childrens python act like this at the moment.

Most likely male but females will also sometimes search for mates if they haven't found one, and both sexes can pace like that if they're wanting to find something cooler, warmer, wetter or otherwise more to their preference.

Short answer, yeah, most likely male.
