Are you looking at setting up a veggie patch in your backyard or in pots on your porch, deck or patio so become self sufficient in basic veggie staples (to some extent) ?

Mine is ready put seeds and seedlings in.

Seeds are about 1 week away.
Seedlings are yet to be sourced.

Way to go... sew a crop heading into winter. By the time you reap any rewards from that plan this will all be over. Too many people blowing this out of proportion. Your local supermarket and farmers market won't run out of fresh produce. Absolutely no need to go and and take a 10 min crash course in becoming a "farmer" and fail at doing so.

Here in Newcastle Lake Macquarie they have ( run out of veg and greens staples ), been very hard to get much of anything .

Same with fresh meat - all sorts ( these isles have been virtually if not completely empty ) for last 2 weeks. And if you can get anything it's rationed ( one or two packets per customer which wont go far ).

Despite all the assurances of plenty of stock , supply chain fine (but much busier) , Australia feeds 100 million , somewhere it's all breaking down ==> food deserts are being created ( where fresh veggies and greens and meats have vanished off shelves at Coles and Woolworths and Aldi ) and this has been going on for 2 weeks and shows no sign of returning to normal.
