Hi All
Just thought I would let you all know of the hefty price increase in Cairns for crickets - please note there is really only 2-3 suppliers in Cairns of crickets. A tub of 40 odd medium crickets now $8.95 "WHAT A BLATEN RIPOFF" The price of crickets is having a very detramental affect - unless you breed - which luckily I do, but for those who dont - OMG how sad it is.
Townsville which is a 4 hr drive south, has prices at $4.60 for same quantity & size. How can freight increases account for almost 50% price differences.
ANY SUPPLIERS OUT THERE WHO WANTS MORE INTERSTATE BUSINESS SHOULD ADVERTISE IN THE CAIRNS POST - E.g. buying crickets from say Melbourne for $4.60 a tub x let say 10 tubs - equals $46.00 + $8.00 freightage (Express Post), compared to Cairns purchasing of $8.95 a tub x 10 tubs is =$89.50. People up here would save a wopping $35.50 saving.
