CU Turns into YOU

Has anyone else noticed when you type the letters C and U next to each other they are converted to SEE and YOU.

C U - not next to each other
CU - next to each other.

I think it is some kind of automatic censoring or something, but it's not working properly.

Try typing the letters C and U right next to each other in a post, below I will do that, only you will see the words SEE and YOU.

i only just noticed that it also happens if the c u is in a word....

Oops! How embarrassment!
The system has a word censor. Sometimes I add words that people use that can be confusing to others, like cu or gr+8. Older fogies (like me) hate to see bad grammar and shortcuts! Posting to APS is not like SMS, where you need to reduce the size of the message to save money. It only takes a little effort to type the whole word and include the occasional full stop or comma! .

We also trap some swear words and substitute a more family-acceptable alternate (please don't test this!!!!!)

I fixed the CU problem - sorry about the confusion!
