Earlier this year we went for a trip up to the Northern Territory. Unfortunately, I was quite sick while up there so got very little herping done while in Litchfield and we had to cancel going down to Katherine.
But we did see a few interesting things, so here are some photos.

A really bad shot of a frog outside our cabin at Litchfield.

Green tree frog @ Eden. If anyone is looking for somewhere to stay near Fogg Dam I highly recommend Eden. It is teeming with wildlife and the couple that own it are lovely

Rocket frog (?) All the frogs were just outside our room and there were so many that we stopped taking photos

My first wild water python

Crappy shot of what I think is a secretive snake. It was moving so fast that this was the only picture I got before it took off into the grass

Another water python

And another (we saw 4 all up, all around the same size)

And a final shot of the birds at Fogg Dam. Looking forward to our next trip there next year.

I stayed in Kakadu/Darwin for 10 days in October and found so much less than you :|

Don't worry, this was our 3rd trip and this is the first time we found any snakes and even this time there was only 1 night out of 10 that conditions were right for anything to be active. Our last trips were June/July and February. Just the luck of the draw I guess.

Great finds. I will never forget my Darwin trip, it was great. Jealous about the little croc! We only saw an adult freshie on the dam wall / road.
