Hi there,
Noob here - I've just picked up a duel probe digital thermometer (urs brand), popped a new battery in it and turned it on. Though the probes are next right to each other, the "in" and "out" screen are always measuring at least 0.5-0.9 degree difference. I know that's not a lot but it doesn't do much to assure me of the accuracy of the thermometer! I'm just wondering if this is normal for dual probe thermometer, considering the screens are labelled differently, or if I need to take it back and get a new one.
Cheers! X

doesnt really matter because you wont have them in close proximity.
best to just average it out, IN = .3c below OUT = .3c above. you'll never even know...

If you want to know how accurate it is, put the probe in boiling water, should read 100.
Let the probe cool and put it in an ice slurry, should read close to zero.
