I had a visit from a cheeky little Eastern Water skink that came in through the garage last night.
Well not so little really at 110mm SVL.
Saw it a couple of times and couldn't catch it.
I found a nice little calling card in my bedroom this morning, but it was still elusive.

Finally this evening I caught it.

It has been in a battle somewhere and lost some toes.

I have released it in my backyard, hopefully it likes it and hangs around.

The fella you and I had an in depth private conversation about some time ago. Coincidentally he had an affinity for water skinks as well!

Nice skinks to have around the house.
I just had to go back and have a look. No mate definitely not him.

It is good to see it around here. I live in an estate where they levelled everything before building and I haven't seen one reptile around the estate even though it is surrounded by bush. Hopefully this one is the start of their return.

On a side note if anyone knows of any for sale, either in Queensland or someone willing to ship I would be after a trio.
