Greetings Mates:
Any of you guys have experience with Eugongylus rufescens? Some here in the States keep E. albofasciloatus (out of Solomon Islands?) Shy at first, they actually do sit out a lot and will hand feed (a couple of keepers even play with them, they seem smart). Also, they seem well behaved with similar sized herps (pink tongues, water dragons, etc.)

Anyone know E. rufescens? Adult size, behavior, care tips. etc.? Can they be "pets" or a better display lizard?

Thanks in advance,

George

I've never heard of anyone keeping rufescens, but I'm pretty sure they'd be much like keeping typical skinks of that size. Skinks do vary a lot in how well they interact with people. No idea about them in this respect, but most likely fairly typical for skinks (not that great but some would tolerate it well enough, and most would hand feed if you trained them).
