Gecko question

Can anyone tell me if occelated velvet geckos occur in Heathcote, Central Victoria and if not what would be a similar species.

No, none of he Oedura species occur in Victoria. Oedura marmorata has the closest distribution. If you are looking for a similar gecko that does occur in Victoria, check out the Marbled gecko (Christinus marmoratus). A couple of others that would be fine to keep there are O. lesueuri and O. robusta - both are very undemanding species.
