Hi Guys,

I don’t post often but I had a beautiful 15 YO Diamond Python called Speck.

Unfortunately he passed away last night; I’ll not go into specifics because I’m still processing.

I don’t know if there is a tread for grieving, but he was a part of the family (I had him since hatchling) and I loved him very much.

I feel the good people on this forum will understand the grief around loosing a snake.

I would love to know how you have honored the memory of your loved one.

RIP Speck, you were loved and will be missed 💔🐍

RIP Speck. So sorry you lost one of your own. Just like any pet or animal you care for, you are saying goodbye to a loved family member. You still form a bond. The grieving is the same as with any animal you love and care for. When my babies, Amsy, my woma or Snucky, my blonde spotted go, I will be very sad.

15 years is a pretty good innings for a Diamond. Sounds like he was well loved and had a good life.

I'm sorry for your loss. I know how hard it is to lose such an important part of the family.
