Hi,

Out two year old turtle has a lump growing on his foot, and I was wondering what it may be or what may have caused it. It doesn't stop him from walking or swimming.

He is kept in a 70 litre tank, 25% water change every week with the filter being cleaned using the tank water (outside of the tank) The PH level is kept around 7.5, he has a dock which he uses that has a heat bulb & UV bulb.

He shares the tank with 5 Male Gupppies that he mostly ignores. Picture of the lump and his tank below.

Hi, any updates on your turtle? Hope he is just okay.

We're continuing to monitor for changes, it doesn't seem to be getting larger or smaller. He's not in any discomfort and it's not hindering his swimming or land movment...he's still eating voraciously and there's not other irregularaties on his skin or shell.

If it dosen't dissapear or gets larger in the next week or so we'll take him to the vet.

Hi mate, that's not a growth it's an injury that's become infected. Get yourself some API Turtle fix and dose your tank as oer the dosage directions. Your turtle will also benefit from you adding sea salt to the aquarium at the rate of 4 to 5 grams per litre. 0.4 - 0.5% salinity.
