do you have any better less blury photos i cant see the patern and colour properly but its cute just be carful as that is a wild lizard so wash your hands and arms after handling him
It is a Mountain Dragon Rankinia diemensis. The dorsal patterning, small size and body proportions are all distinctive for this species given the locality. There are number of very similar looking species but none of them occur anywhere near Melbourne. Here is a photo of one for comparison (compliments of Museum Victoria).
