Hi
can you force a snake (darwin albino) into hibernation, as he wont eat and just wanders all night.. heat lamp on all the time he is warm enough and going through his not eating phase from April to Sept ( we are in Adelaide )

all our male spotteds are doing the same, also my male pygmy banded hasn't eaten for 4 weeks, but still awake and wandering,I upped the heat from 60W to 75W to try and encourage them to eat but still no luck

No point in trying to change the environment to make them eat. Some just respond to natures triggers, while some don't.
At this time of year its probably best if you look at brumation and start reducing heating hours in line with nature.

Remember this is not hibernation, snakes do not sleep for 3 months. They slow down, reduce their activity to conserve energy. Look for a mate. Most will seek out heat during the day.
