Hello everyone! I've found this little beauty on our patio. I think it's a Northern Velvet gecko but I'm not completely sure. We're in Townsville but I don't know whether they live this far south. Is it an escaped pet? Thanks a heap guys.

Your guess was correct. What you have found is a local – the Northern Velvet Gecko Oedura castelnaui.
 
The distribution of this lizard is mostly the hinterland of north-east Queensland but around Townsville in particular it extends to the coast. What a wonderful critter to have living on your patio. I am green with envy. We do get Marbled Geckos here, south of Perth where I currently reside. It is always a buzz to come across one. However, there is something about velvet gecko species I find particularly appealing.
