Dad just showed me pics of this young monitor he rescued. From gladstone and was about 20cm long, i'm thinking a semiremex but tristis are also found in the area.

ok well that pretty much puts it down to a tristis

tristis orientalis. They are quite "scalaris -like" in that area Richard. Small, heavily patterned - real orientalis IMO

doesnt look tristis to me,looks like a spotted tree

i was thinking scalaris at first but they dont exist in the gladstone area as far as i know. Thanks for that danny and albino

HI all,

Danny is correct Tristis "orientalis"

Cheers,
Scott

Yep Tristis,it still has its baby pattern and colour

ok nice looking freckled then, its tail looks short in the pic and its neck body tail didnt have the long looking appearance of a tristis but i stand corrected,i cant think where gladstone is im guessing south of scalaris range though

yup, about 500km north of bris, i think its still a few hundred km north untill you find scalaris
