i have a an olive hatchie that has recently lost colour in a patch of it's scales, (looks like raw fish meat colour now) with the mother of pearl look still present, there is no sign of scale disorder,(looks like the problem is deeper than the surface) and it is not irritable to the animal.

the patch is 3/4 down the body, just above the lower scale line, and it's about the size of a 10c piece.

Any ideas?

PS- i would take a photo, but the camera won't pick up enough detail.

Azztech it's nothing to worry about. It happens after shedding something to do with the oils in their skin.
My olives have it from time to time and it goes away with the next shed, childreni and water pythons get it as well i've noticed.

If it's something else it will become inflammed and look infected.

I'd say it's nothing to worry about.

she has shed recently... and i have seen it on my male also, though his look a little different, (he's older)
