I have a female carpet python she is 1.6m and she eat 1 large rat a week but she is not putting on weight she is about 900-1kg
she will not take a larger rat or eat more then 1 at a time. I was told you can put abit of beef or chicken mince in the rat every 2nd feed and this will hepl put on weight
what do others think
thank you

What locality of Carpet is she. A kilo may be her ultimate adult weight! What weight are the large rats you feed her?

A lot of varieties of Jungle, Woma and some BHP's only reach about 1.6m in length so she may simply be fully grown.
If she's of the Anteresia genus you have a monster on your hands already.
A large rat(200-250gm) weekly is a fair bit of food for a python of that size..
