Hi,
I took ownership of this little guy today. The previous owner was unable to care for it and I was unable to gain any real info about its age or where it was originally purchased from except that he has had it for about 12 months.

I'm thinking it's a coastal but any info would be greatly appreciated.
I've booked in with a vet to have it checked out on Friday.

I have a general idea about how to look after him but would appreciate any guidance re species so I can be sure that his temperatures are optimal.

You also require a licence, cheap and doesn't take long to apply/receive one, but without one it's illegal to own him.

It's a Carpet Python, young, presumably 18 months old if the previous owner had it for a year, undersized for its age, probably has been a little underfed but will catch up if fed well now. Could be a Coastal, likely a mix. Husbandry is the same either way, just treat it like a Coastal. Not sure what the vet visit is for but he'll enjoy taking your easy money for nothing šŸ™ƒ

Probably worth checking out the licensing situation.
