I just a a quick visit to my research sites in Mena Creek, 20km north of Tully and took a few snaps. i'm sort of stopped photographing here as i have other priorities whilst im there but thought these were interesting.
Saproscincus basiliscus is fairly common, though are much easier to get closer to at night whilst sleeping on foliage.
Jungle pythons
On the way to the site came across this 2.25-2.5m scrubby
On this trip i found a species i hadnt previously recorded in the area
Litoria Xanthomera
unfortunately one of my frogs met his match
i also found brown tree snakes and slatey greys on site for the first time but didnt bother photographing them.
Cheers
