In NSW it is Pygmy Mulga Monitor (Varanus Gilleni)...

People say they grow approx 40cm long...is that from head to tail or head to bum? Also how big would their enclosure have to be? thanks

Give me a list of the monitors on the basic in SA and I will tell you which is smallest

I would have thought Matt Bonnett held more than a basic though...?

Thor - I presume 'black tailed' is a Black-Headed Monitor (V.tristis)? - In any case Pygmy Mulga is still smallest, however Ridge-Tailed and Black-Headed are still small enough to keep in a smallish enclosure...
