Snake measuring

Hello all! I was wondering, how do you accurately measure your snake without physically stretching the snake out against a measuring tape? I've always measured his shed but after reading a post recently found that it isn't reliable. Thanks guys!

Use a piece of string, or let your snake stretch out across the table and measure the table.

Personally I use the string while my partner is handling the snake and then I measure the string.

A shed skin is usually around 1/3 longer than the actual animal.
