tassie tiger snakes

:? Hi All,
we live in Tassie and my husband is a reptile rescuer! He catches and relocates tiger and copperhead snakes from peoples homes. He also decided to bring a couple home for rehab:shock:. he does have a problem with a very young tiger snake about a 8 inches long--what to feed it??
we are not spring chickens and his mid life crisis seems to revolve around snakes!! He has applied to legally import a couple of pythons as most kids and adults in tassie have only seen venomous snakes --the red tape is unbelievable! back to the drawing board on that one - he needs an A.B.N. public liability, a business plan and to prove it is for business not personal interest!

An 8 inch Tassie Tiger N.a.humphreysi should be able to feed on small pinkie mice. If it wont take them you might have to assist feed using small fish just to put some weight on it and just keep persisting with the pinkie mice.
