Temperature Probe Placement

I was wondering where to place the temperature probes in an enclosure for approximately one year old Childrens Python. Do they go directly above the heat mats on the glass or towards the top of the substrate. The temps I am getting on the hot side on the glass bottom are approximately 33 but on the top of the substrate they are only about 26.

you want the top of the substrate to be around 31 so adjust the probe to get it to that temp

Thanks CarlosTheSnake. I will get that done ASAP. In achieving this the temp on the bottom of the substrate on the glass is about 40 is that too high.

Hi. Thank you both for the help. Update. I have got the temps as follows. Hot hide between 31 and 32.5 cold hide about 22. Heat mat is sitting between 33 and 34.5. Hopefully these temps are within a good range.
