Trouble posting photos

How do you get your Flickr photos onto a thread you are creating?

There are two ways, in basic posting you use the insert image and put the hyperlink in to the field or you use advanced and manage attatchments (I think that still works for hosted pics) but you have to untick the box about 'Retrieve remote file...'
