Enrolments are closing soon for the:
"Advanced Reptile - Venomous Snake and Crocodile Care" course at Richmond NSW TAFE.

Presented by specialist reptile teachers, topics covered include:

Taxonomy and species identification
Venomous snake husbandry
Venomous snake housing
Venomous snake diet, nutrition and feeding
Venomous snake handling, restraint and transport
Venom and venom delivery systems
Snakebite first aid and treatment
Crocodile husbandry and handling
Legislation, licensing and record keeping

The course runs for 3 consecutive Monday evenings from 6.00 - 9.00pm
Commencing November 1st 2010 and costs only $205.

Applicants MUST HAVE previously completed TAFE's "Basic Reptile & Amphibian Care" and "Advanced - Python, Lizard & Turtle Care" courses (or equivalent) to apply.

N.B. Students MUST BE over 18 years of age to handle venomous snakes.

This course is a pre-requisite for Richmond Colleges other course:
Advanced Reptile - Field Surveys

The "Basic" course is finished for this year and the last "Advanced" lesson is on THIS Monday night...

However, If you contact Helen Bodill on (02) 4570 9033 at Richmond TAFE she may be able to tell you if they are planning courses for 2011.
