Hi guys!

I've just started my 5th and last year of veterinary science, and am currently in the process of trying to choose what I'd like to do for 8 weeks of elective rotations. I have a 2 week block available starting the 18th of July, and 6 weeks (which can be divided into a minimum of 2 week blocks) starting on the 26th of September.

Basically, my areas of interest are reptiles/amphibians, birds, zoo animals and wildlife in general.

Places I'm currently considering include;
- Currumbin Wildlife hospital (I've already done 3 weeks here and it was fantastic),
- Sugerloaf Animal Hospital (Dr. Mark Simpson)
- South Penrith Veterinary Clinic (Dr. Robert Johnson- he gave us all of our reptile lectures last year)
- North shore veterinary specialist center
- Balaclava veterinary clinic (apparently they do exotics as well)
- West Toowoomba veterinary surgery (started by Bob Doneley who gave us our avian lectures, but apparently he has left?)
- Marlin coast Veterinary hospital; birds, reptiles, and apparently they get some sea turtles depending on the time of year/season
- Brisbane bird and exotics
- Taronga wildlife hospital (this is placed last in my list as I'm pretty sure they're already booked out).

I haven't yet contacted all of these places to see if they all take students, but I'll do that as I narrow my list down.

I was just wondering if anyone has any other suggestions, or comments about any of these places? It's an incredibly tough decision, I wish I could go to every place for a few weeks, but there's not enough time!!

David Vella in Sydney is also good but hard to get into.
