A REPTILE expert says the Canadian boys killed by a python had been playing with other animals hours earlier, and their scent may have attracted the snake.

There are so many "new" sides to this story it isn't even funny.
It's a shame that the reputation of snakes will drop even further because of this but hopefully it will raise awareness for proper keeping?

This whole story I find is very hard to believe in, that poor snake shouldn't have been put under so quickly when there is so much more to this story. Pythons hunt to eat, not randomly wrap itself around the neck kill then move on to the next. Its such a **** off as a python owner that this now is giving such beautiful creatures a terrorizing label. Those kids were no doubt in my mind murdered.
