What does BUMP mean???

Hiya!

As a computer illiterate, new to this website and reptile owning Mum, can you please tell me what "Bump" means? I've seen it a few times on peoples topics with nothing else disclosed. I know, it's probably an "Oh derr" thing, but please, put me out of my misery!!!!

If there was a confused looking smiley.....I'd put it here.

It gets your post "bumped" up to the top. Refreshes it so to speak so it doesnt get lost amongst the others.

When a thread gets a new post it is moved to the top of the list, right? So when you want to get attention to a thread that has been unanswered or forgotten about, you can bump it back up to the top.
