My first (and the most forgiving snake ever for a newbie) was/is an adult Murray Darling. Easy to handle, feeds like a champ, never bitten or even attempted to strike and has been great to learn first hand about snakes.
My 2nd snake is a Rough Scaled Python, beautiful temperament, tends to come out at night though, so don't see him at all during the day. Easy to feed, gorgeous looker.
My 3rd is an Albino Darwin. Still a juvie, but beautiful to handle, easy feeder, stunning looker. Love him.

My advice is to get what YOU want, maybe go to a few petshops to handle a few different snakes, then you can decide which one you'd like.

RSP's are on Advanced/Specialist W/L licences (in Vic and SA they are)

So all the morphs such as zebs , albino zebs, axthanic zebs albino sunglows super zeb caramel moonglows diamond junglejaguar, etc are all gonna be worthless? Everyone's just gonna want pure coastal/ diamonds right? Morphs are the future (imo) you can't escape it, that doesn't mean it's good or bad but it is the future. My belated theory is that all cross breed without multiple genes should be put down. I don't know just an idea sick of seeing darwin cross jungles for 50 bucks

I don't think cross breeds should be put down, they still deserve to live. Maybe they could be seized, and not bred, but such a law would be impossible to enforce.

Anyway, I second MD's. I've handled then before, and whether male, female, young or old, they're always calm and great to handle.
