what type of permit do i need for a black whip snakes i a Recreational permit do i need a ven permit for black whip snakes in QLD
 
I'd check with the EPA mate . I was kicking round the idea of getting a pair and was told you couldn't keep them on either license in QLD , at least that was the case for yellow faced whips.

they told me you can have yello face whips on a need a ven permit and all whip snake and all ealpids
 
black snakes (Pseudechis spp)
broad-headed snakes (Hoplocephalus spp)
brown snakes (Pseudonaja spp)
Collett's snake (Pseudechis colletti)
Copperheads (Austrelaps spp)
death adders (Acanthopis spp)
eastern small-eyed snake (Rhinoplocephalus nigriscens) rough scaled snake (Tropidechis carinatus) taipans (Oxyuranus spp) tiger snakes (Notechis spp)

that is the list of what elapids require a ven permit, if its not on that list you can have it on a rec licence
 
thats not true there elapids and all elapids must be on a ven permit
