Hi I recently got a Stimson python he's 6months old he eats well and is shedding well he has adapted very well to handling as seems to be happy. He lives in a 3foot reptile enclosure with bark as bedding he has two rock hides one in the cool end of the tank and the other in the warm end he is not very active in his enclosure I have not seen him out and about in his home since I got him. He is very active when I get him out and handle him. Is it normal for a Stimson python to not be active in his home day or night?

I have had him for almost two months now the warm end is 32oC and the cool end is 29oC.id love to share pics with every one but im having trouble as well:(

I think the enclosure is too big for a 6mo. He probably feels really insecure where he is right now. Try downsizing his enclosure to a 10-20l tub with furnishings, etc., air holes and a heat mat. He will probably come out more.
(Keep the 3ft enclosure for when he gets bigger though)
