My wife and i have just spent a few days up in the high country of N.E. Victoria. We had a great time, caught heaps of trout and saw stacks of reptiles, including possibly the biggest eastern brown snke i have ever seen. Im going to post some photos in the field trips section either tonight or tomorrow night, but first i need to try and identify these two different types of lizards.
I have had a look at moloch05's awesome photo guides to aussie lizards, and i cant find either of them.
Based on what i have read and photos i found, the best i could come up with for this one was a jacky lizard.
Is this a jacky lizard or something totally different?
And this little skink of some kind. I have'nt got a clue what this one is.
These lizards were found about 30-40km from Omeo in the Victorian high country on the bank of the upper mitta mitta river at an altitude of approximately 700-800metres above sea level.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
