Im in melbourne for a few days, staying at the crown towers. Any cool spots nearby that anyone can recomend?

melboune zoo is great
melb art gallery at byrong mar is free and worth a look, while you are there go to the tourist info opposite the clocks
china town, or head down some of the laneways for a snack
dont waste your time with the casino, seen one and you have seen them all.

Eureka sky deck is pretty cool.

The bowling alley and arcade is good in the casino if your not into blowing your cash on the tables.

Big day out is on at Flemington racecourse on Tues, theres tickets for sale on ebay at very inflated prices..

Go to Eureka skydeck on southbank. Amazing views of the city. St Kilda is great, shops and bars and restaurants etc.

Melb Zoo is well worth a visit, great zoo. Healsville Sanctuary is also great. Great Ocean Road day tour? Spectacular coastline! The Dandenongs National Park is beautiful to go for bushwalks. Phillip Island is good too, go and watch the Fairy Penguins.

Casino was a loss, doesn't matter as i was there at midnight so i didnt waste anytime. Bout to head of to the tennis!
