Can any reptile expert be able to identify what sort of a reptile is in this photo? We spotted it hiding behind the gutter and could not get further visibility other than its tail. Please look carefully at the brick wall near the latch - we are very curious to know the type of this reptile. Location spotted - Melbourne, Australia.

Would be a Southern Marbled Gecko (Christinus marmoratus) supposedly they were introduced into greater Melbourne many many moons ago as a result of logging and agriculture in the north of the state but have now become one of Melbournes most commonly encountered reptiles.

Marbled Gecko, Christinus marmoratus. This one has a regenerated tail.
