I'm wanting to build a rock wall for my juvenile yellow spotted monitor for when he's an adult. I plan on it being cut from a piece of polystyrene foam & coated in cement render etc. I anticipate that he will climb over it so I want it as strong as possible. If I coat it in several coats of render will this protect the foam from his claws or will the foam end up not being strong enough? The size will be 2.4m long x 1.2 high, the foam will be about 400mm thick.
