Hi all I'm not at all concerned just curious . I have a woma about a year and a half old and it's shed he's skin 3 times in the last 6 weeks . I have owed a few snakes (but never a woma ) and I haven't ever had one she'd so often . I don't over feed him . Any one else have snakes that shed more often then others or are Womas renowned for it??
Thanks

My Stimsons once shed 5 times in less than 4 weeks (almost once every 5 days) once.
I suspect his rapid shedding was caused by a rapid growth spurt (he gained a couple cm and about 75g within the month!)

Main suspects for multiple sheds in a short period of time would be:
- mites
- damaged scales (burnt, cut)
- rapid growth

If something had caused an imperfection in their skin, they will often try to 'shed it out' which can lead to back to back sheds.
I'd give her a quick check over to check for mites, cuts, burns, bruising, dents- any imperfections can be cause to blame.

My 11 month old Woma comes into shed once a month like clockwork. He's due for a shed in a couple days, and his eyes are all blued over right now.

Woma's *may* shed more often than some other species, only because they are renowned diggers, and will often damage the scales on their noses from rubbing them along glass/tiles when trying to 'dig' into them. By the time my guys shed comes around, his nose is always looking a bit pathetic.

If it's something you're really concerned about, as always, it's best to take your animal to a specialist reptile vet for a checkup

Thanks for your reply . Na not concerned for him yet , he eats and behaves as normal ..
