red desert sand in newcastle

Does any one know of places to buy red desert sand in newcastle that is not expensive. Im after about 20kg or more and dont want to spend 50 bucks on it.

you could buy it from an online supplier for about $30 a bag postage shoudln;t cost more then $20 on that much. i got mine last lots sent from the ACT and it would have been $50 or just under for 20kg

Hi blake! I bought a 20 kg bag of red sand from "its all about aquariums and reptiles" in warners bay (the new shop). I think it was $40. If not mayfield pet shop and krempens at tingara heights sell it too.

I know its not really red but the sand at terrigal in the central coast is quite a bit darker. Maybe if you mix it half and half you may get the look you are after at half the price. just a suggestion

Go to www.herpasylum.com.au there is 20kg of red desert sand for 27.50
Cheaper than almost any other sand youll find

theres a 'pet barn' in maitland that sells red dessert sand, i used it for my scorpion, very good stuff (maitland is 50k's from newy)

I have already purchased some a few months ago from jasons shop so there is no need for this thread to continue
