Creating polls?

I cant seem to figure out how to create a poll, can anyone help?
I really need some help deciding which side to part my hair....

lol when you go to create a new thread there is an option down the bottom that says "Create a Poll". I've never done it so don't know what you have to do after that but that's a step at least
