I have been searching for awhile but cant seem to find anything on them as pets? I was just wondering if you can keep them, because i have been fascinated by the genus Drysdalia ever since i found a beautiful White lipped snake :)
Thanks in advance

G'day Levis,

I'm not sure of your experience with captive reptiles or small elapids, but they don't make very good 'pets' as such. There are very few White Lips in captivity on the mainland. I don't think any of the other Drysdalia species are in captivity, but it wouldn't surprise me if D.rhodogaster was.

Your best bet is to just keep looking, and be able to pounce on one when it becomes available. It will probably be "expensive" - between $300 and $1000.

Thanks for your help Jonno :)
I have no experience with elapids, only geckos and other lizards.
It is just a fantasy of mine anyway ;)
Observing them in the wild is much better anyway lol
