At the request of the Site Administrator, I am posting the following as information to all our members:

Constable Scott Williams said:
I am investigating complaints concerning "Carl Snakeman" defrauding
victims by advertising the sale of non-existing snakes on websites such
as reptilesdownunder.com.

I can confirm that we have received a formal complaint from one victim
already and that I am currently attempting to identify victims and any
others that would also like to make a complaint.

I am seeking victims that have been ripped off by "Carl Snakeman" or any
other aliases that he has used in the past. Anybody that deposited
money into an ANZ account of "Carl Tyler" will have been defrauded by
the same individual. If I can get a number of complaints, I can link
these complaints together and ensure that the offender is prosecuted for
all the offences at the same time.

If you live in Queensland you can attend your local station and make a
report. Could you please quote the report number QP1201127262 to the
officer and ensure that your report is linked to this report (the police
officer who takes the complaint will know what I mean).

If the police at the time you attend have any concerns about taking the
report, please identify the report number that I quoted above so that
they can check themselves. Alternatively, please direct them to call me
to discuss the matter further. 3

Any victims that are from outside Queensland can make a report to their
local police station and have the matter forwarded to Queensland Police.

I would recommend that anybody that wants to make a complaint, whether
they be in Queensland or another state, print out a copy of this email
and take it with them to the police station.

Due to the possible enormity of the situation, the investigation will be
passed onto another police officer who has more experience in these
matters. I will identify as many victims as possible though prior to
this occurring.
