I want to put together a comprehensive list of python morphs from all Aussie pythons and if possible, the genetic lettering available. For example aa is commonly used for albinos, Aa for hets and AA for wild type darwins. Is there any official genetic lettering like this for pythons? Please list any python morphs you know and describe them and list what types of pythons it's found on.

Here is a link to gene nomenclature in the mouse. Section 3.1 is the most important to us. I suggest following it because there are probably more mouse and rat geneticists than geneticists of all other vertebrates put together.

I am not aware of any list of Aussie python mutants with symbols. What you do may become the standard. I might suggest
a = albino
J = jaguar
C = caramel
ax = axanthic

The corresponding wild type alleles would have a plus character as a superscript added to the mutant symbol. Will this editor do superscripts? I haven't figured out how.
