Thick-tailed gecko? In this area?

Hey all,
Just got back from my walk and spotted this on the side of the road. Can anyone confirm if it's a Thick-tailed gecko? It's in a bad condition to I.D as it was raining and the snails started to eat it. I was unsure because thick-tailed geckos range don't seem to go down this way south.

I'd say Thickie, they are a southern australian gecko species more so than northerly. I'd say he's seen better days

Smithers, yeah I used to catch these a bit more north but on many maps, it doesn't say they come from Murray Bridge.
