Hey everyone,

I have a northern velvet gecko and the females tail has fallen off! Will it still mate?

Cheers,
Christina

Tails grow back pretty quick. I don't even think it will be a problem in th mean time but it will grow back just not as pretty.

Great, my female has just layed a clutch, i have sepearated the male and female when should i reunite em so they can breed??

Females have little choice when housed with a male, the tail will heal within days and start to regrow in weeks. Its not ideal to breed with her if she has just lost it, she should be separated from the male untill it at least starts to regrow
