thankyou Far North.... that should do the trick eh!
appreciate your input & computer skills...lol...D/L

This is a ridiculous poll.
If their in your care and don't have the ability to fend for themselves everything they receive comes from the owner or they die.
So...........

some keepers have the impression that TLC isnt for a native reptile...does them permanent harm!
i dont

Erm who cares ey....I don't leave my animals totally by themselves (it's called cleaning n feeding) I also check on all of them once a day except snakes...but I don't "breastfeed" either and personally I think it's a ridiculously imature term thats being used! Cheers K ;)

IMO I put yes to the simple reason thats why your a carer in the first place right!! you become a carer to care for those less fortunit like babie animals and injured ones, now a baby animal like bird - jowie really needs that help the affection and needs to start trusting you to actually survive, but once it's a bit older then you start pushing it away so it can fend for itself in the wild, same as the mother would do. but a snake thats been injured in anyways can be left alone and not really treated like a captive animal you still need to feed it and clean it cage, but don't handle it unless you really need to dress wounds. so I am a YES and a NO depending on what sercumstance it is.

I don't, My animals are left alone (outside cage management and feeding). that is the only time I handle my animals, and they seem to be happy enough without kisses and cuddles.. they do like the odd cuddle with rodents though......

hahaha..caustic...
talking reptiles in general....dragons..snakes...monitors..frillies..etc
but glad the cuddles are in the lead!!!!!!

Obviously if you are talking about being a wildlife carer that's a bit different, of course an injured/baby is going to require more time and care to rehabilitate properly... i think this poll is in regards to the way keepers care for the healthy anials kept in there collection NOT wild animals in care for rehabilitation.

members will interpret as they see fit...
i appreciated the members help who made the poll for.... it was a most generous offer!

as i said on the other thread they all get daily cuddles and i sing to them.

i slobber all over their sweet faces, shower with them and take them to bed with me on weekend mornings.

yes, im a cuddler and proud of it!!!!

I think I am glad I am not one of your pets.

I guess there are extremes, I don’t think I slobber my herps.

But I do tend to give my largish Murry Darling a Hug every now and then and let him roam free around the lounge during the weekends, even let him sleep in bed one night when his heat lamp died and I had no spares.

On the other hand my smaller herps I leave alone mostly as they are easily frightened.

My 2 cents, think 'boobing your reptile' or w/e is situational based on the herps temperament and size.

lol drazzy

with my snakes there bought as companions, so ya they may get a cuddle now and then, the BHP's get more though cause they always want out of the enclosure and there used to being handled. but alowing them to sleep in the same bed, well never would I dare, there much too big for that and my partners friend's snake is the same size as medusa over 9 foot and it was sizing her up in bed, she wasn't sure what it was doing so she took it to the vet and the vet said it was sizing her up for a meal and she should get rid of it. he said thats why you shouldn't let them sleep with you. that was a bit off subject but thats why I don't completely mother my snakes.

I handle both my snakes every so often outside cleaning / feeding, gives them a bit of exercise and lets me check them out, make sure they're in good health. I don't believe they enjoy it beyond the fact it lets them explore the room a little, makes their lives a bit more interesting.
