This morning, I woke Wanambi up....." Time for school".....His reply? "I don't wanna....chomp"
He was supposed to go to scholl for my daughter's show & tell, lol, but Calliope came instead. Didn't want to take chances with Mr Grumpy-bum!

...

wonder what my parents reactionm would be if i did that befor school
im gonna try:)

Haha, i don't like mornings much either =p and i'd probably have the same reaction if someone woke me up .

i thought you had to have an exhibitors licence to show reptiles in public ???

I'm not a morning person myself but this is a bit excessive! Still, Steph had an extra for show & tell. The pics & my hand with a join-the-dots jawline, lol.

lol moody bugger ey ;) then again it is school you mentioned, so can't say I blame him :p

And yes, technically you do Herpkeeper, though seeing as it's for "show and tell" and not in a profitable manner, it should be ok.

Must be different in SA, here you can't do it at all without a demonstrator's license, even if it's just specifically for that day and not for the whole year.

That's one python who knows what he wants...or DOESN"T want!

What was your first reaction after being bitten...

"Oh no, who is going to go with my daughter?" or
"OOOWWWWW, why you little *BLEEP*" or
"Where's the camera, this will make a GREAT photo for APS!"

lol, number 3 Slytherin! And to my amazemnet it had batteries! I have been tagged like this a few times now by one of our other snakes. I must taste good or something cos they just keep doing it, lmao!

OMG aps has gone so down hill I cant beleive you people have nothing better to do then try and harras a poor lady for taking a snake to his kids school, If any of you mindless people had any sence you would be like thats a good idea their teaching the kids snakes are good unlike what their parents are probably teaching them that a dead snake is a good snake, please think before you post.

Erm, the "harassment" was people asking about the laws and/or commenting on the difference between SA and other states, not having a go at her at all. Perhaps you could take your own advice there and think before you post?

Edit for further clarification: we take our snakes in to our kids school, so yeah I do think it's a good idea. The difference being that here we need a special permit to do so.

You need a special permit to move any snake away from the residence stated on your license unless taking the animal to the vet or selling the reptile, Leave the poor girl alone.

lol, settle people! No offense taken & cheers scorps for seeing my point. Our community has Tigers, Browns & RRBs everywhere in summer & the shovel brigade are alive & well here, unfortunately. The kids are where it starts so if we can get them to see that every creature deserves to live, then I'm all for it. And I made a point of telling them all that the snakes we keep are not venomous, unlike the wild ones we see here! So it was an educational thing as well as a fun thing for them. I have taken the snakes in a few times now, usually a different one each time.
I wasn't even aware that I may need a permit for a year 5 "show & tell morning" , lol. Seems a wee bit silly to me but I will check up tomorrow. Wouldn't want to do anything illegal......

Awwwwwwwwwwwww Sammy.
It looks like Wanambi has a sweet tooth.
He must if he is chewing on you :p
